LEFROY ARSON INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY – POLICE SEEKING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

(INNISFIL, ON) – South Simcoe Police are continuing to investigate multiple arson incidents in Lefroy and are seeking additional information from the public.

On November 22, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police officers responded to a structure fire on Hofland Street near Killarney Beach Road in Lefroy. While on scene, an explosion was heard near the Morgan Russell Memorial Arena and Community Centre. The explosion was traced to the skate park where investigators recovered a 5-gallon fuel can and fireworks. An outbuilding and parts of the skate park sustained damage, while the Hofland Street fire caused significant destruction to the former fire hall.

Police believe three male suspects are responsible. They were seen moving through Lefroy between 11:00 p.m. and midnight, carrying a 25 litre / 5-gallon gas can.
