SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE APPEALING FOR INFORMATION RELATED TO SHOOTING IN BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY

(BRADFORD, ON) – The South Simcoe Police Service is looking for information relating to a shooting that occurred in Bradford West Gwillimbury on New Years day.

On January 1, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., South Simcoe Police received a call for service in the area of Imperial Crescent in Bradford. The initial call was in regard to a damaged vehicle. Through further investigation, it was determined that two vehicles were damaged, and the damages were caused by a single gunshot.

As the investigation progressed, police believe that the discharge of a firearm occurred earlier that morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m. At this time, the incident is believed to be isolated and targeted at a specific vehicle. There were no injuries reported, however there is always a concern when any firearm is openly fired in a public space. As such, South Simcoe Police are actively investigating this incident and seeking more information.
