Domestic Assault 

(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers have charged a 35-year-old Barrie man following a domestic assault in Innisfil.

A woman recently called 911 to report that she had been assaulted by her estranged husband. Investigation resulted in a 35-year-old Barrie man being charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent and two counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking. The accused was held for a bail hearing. His name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim. The woman was treated in hospital for her injuries and released.
