Impaired Driving/Over 80

(Innisfil, ON) An Innisfil man was charged with impaired driving after South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to reports that a vehicle was driving erratically in a wooded area. On Friday, May 15, 2020, around 12:30 a.m., several citizens called police regarding a vehicle driving erratically in wooded area near train tracks at the 5th Line in Innisfil. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Killarney Beach Road west of the 20th Sideroad. The driver was arrested after a fail was registered on a roadside screening device test. He was transported to North Division where breath tests resulted in readings over the legal limit. 35-year-old Brock Buckingham of Innisfil was charged with Operation While Impaired, Over 80, Fail to Surrender Licence and Unlawfully Drive Off-Road Vehicle on Highway. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
