Two Men Charged Following Break and Enter in Innisfil
(Innisfil, ON) The South Simcoe Police Service has charged two men with multiple offences following a break and enter at an Innisfil home.
On Thursday, February 17, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., police were called to a report of suspicious males inside a residence in the area of 5th Sideroad and 14th Line. Responding officers arrested one suspect at the scene. A second suspect fled the scene on foot but was arrested with the assistance of the Barrie Police K9 Unit.
As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Michael Esposito of Bradford and 37-year-old Andrew Kennedy of Sutton were each charged with the following offences:
Break and Enter
Theft Under $5,000
Mischief Under $5,000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Disguise with Intent to Commit a Criminal Offence
Kennedy faces an additional charge of Possession of Break-In Instruments. The accused were released at the scene with future court dates.

(Innisfil, ON) The South Simcoe Police Service charged two people with impaired driving offences on Wednesday following separate collisions.
On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at approximately 6:10 p.m., police were dispatched to Yonge Street and 6th Line in Innisfil for a rear-end collision.
As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old Shawn Hannan of Innisfil was charged with Operation While Impaired, Operation While Impaired-Excess Blood Alcohol, Operation While Prohibited, Dangerous Operation and Breach of Probation Order. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 45 days.
The accused and four people in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a heavily damaged vehicle driving erratically on Sideroad 5 in Innisfil. Officers located the vehicle in the driveway of a home in the Highway 89 and King Street South area. The driver was arrested.
As a result of the investigation, 25-year-old Andriy Fedyk of Innisfil was charged with Operation While Impaired by Drug and Dangerous Operation. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
As we head into the Family Day long weekend, the South Simcoe Police Service wants to remind residents that in addition to driving cars and trucks, impaired driving laws also apply to those operating snowmobiles and off-road vehicles.
