Bradford Man Sentenced in Fatal ATV Crash
(Bradford) On the 23rd of September 2020 shortly before 5:00AM South Simcoe Police responded to a report of an off road vehicle collision that had claimed the life of a 22-year-old Bradford male and injured a 20-year-old female. Members from the South Simcoe Police Traffic Unit conducted an investigation into the collision, assisted by members of Uniform Patrol, CIB along with the Ontario Coroner’s office which resulted in 6 Criminal charges against the responsible driver, a 24-year-old Tyler HUN PANG of Bradford.

On the 4th of March 2022 Tyler HUN-PANG pleaded guilty to two of the six charges (Impaired cause death and Impaired cause bodily harm). On the 28th of March 2022, Tyler HUN-PANG was sentenced by Justice Applegate to 5 years in custody. In addition to the period of incarceration HUN-PANG will be prohibited from driving for 7 years upon release.
This collision was the second fatality that touched our Community in 2020 involving an impaired driver that caused death. Impaired driving continues to be a leading cause of death and injury on Canadian roadways with 155 lives lost in 2019. Police urge all drivers to drive sober or plan ahead.
