Multiple Charges Follow Traffic Stop

(Innisfil, ON) On Thursday, November 4, 2021, at approximately 9:20 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer observed a vehicle with a licence plate violation travelling in the area of the 7th Line and 20th Sideroad in Innisfil. The vehicle subsequently began driving at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested. A quantity of suspected drugs and a stolen piece of identification were seized.

As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Zachary McMaster of Brampton was charged with the following offences:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

He was also charged with Drive Vehicle Cannabis Readily Available and numerous Highway Traffic Act offences including Speeding, Drive While Under Suspension, Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence and Obstructed Plate.

The accused was released with a future court date.
