Fail To Comply/Assault Police/Utter Threats/Theft

(Bradford, ON) A 31-year-old Bradford man faces numerous charges after South Simcoe Police Service officers recently responded to a domestic assault call in Bradford.
Once on scene, a man was arrested for 2 counts of Mischief under $5,000, Uttering Threats and Assault with a Weapon. He was held for a bail hearing and was subsequently released. The following day police responded to the same address for a Breach of Conditions call. The accused was arrested nearby for Failing to Comply with a Judicial Release Order. An officer suffered a minor injury when the accused resisted arrest. A Conducted Energy Weapon was deployed and the accused was taken into custody.
He was then charged with Failure to Comply with Judicial Release, Resist Arrest, Assault a Peace Officer, Uttering Threats and Theft. He was held for a bail hearing.

Break and Enter/Theft/Assault/Distribute Intimate Image Without Consent

(Innisfil, ON) A 19-year-old man of no fixed address is facing several charges following a domestic assault investigation in Innisfil.
Police were recently called to an address in Innisfil in relation to an unwanted person. It was reported to police that a former boyfriend broke into a woman’s house and stole items. The woman also reported prior domestic assaults and the distribution of intimate images. As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with Break and Enter, Theft Under $5,000, Assault and Distribute Intimate Images Without Consent. He was released with a future court date.

Names of accused and specifics of the occurrence in cases of intimate partner violence are not released to protect the identity of the victims.

Refuse Breath Test

(Innisfil, ON) On Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at approximately 3:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a call from a citizen regarding a possible impaired driver in a plaza parking lot on Innisfil Beach Road in Alcona. Police arrived on scene and the driver was arrested.
As a result of the investigation, 63-year-old Josif Palic of Innisfil was charged with Failure or Refusal to Comply with Breath Demand. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
