Federal Offender Wanted on Canada-Wide Warrant

(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police Service is seeking the public’s help to locate a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

28-year-old Jordan Mendez is wanted for breaching his statutory release and is being investigated by South Simcoe Police Service for firearms related offences. On Friday, April 23, 2021, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police were called to assist the provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad at an Airbnb in Innisfil. Once on scene, police determined that a firearms offence had occurred. Mendez was staying at the address and has not been located.

Mendez is known to frequent Innisfil, Toronto, Barrie and Region of York. He is currently serving a two-year, four month and sixteen day sentence for manslaughter.

He is described as Black, 5’11”, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of “RIP Mom 1958-2008” on his right forearm, “Mendez” on his left forearm and a crown on his left arm.
