(Innisfil, ON) On Friday, August 4, 2017, at 12:42 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a business alarm at Herbert's Boots on Commercial Park Drive in Innisfil. When officers arrived, they discovered that the store had been entered through a smashed side door. The victim advised that only cash was taken during the burglary.
At 6:44 a.m., employees of the RV Warehouse on Reive Boulevard discovered an overnight break in. Again, cash was targeted. Investigators believe these burglaries may be related since they were both businesses near the highway.

(Innisfil, ON) On Thursday, August 3, 2017, an Alcona resident called South Simcoe Police Service to report her vehicle stolen. The 2004 black Nissan pathfinder was taken from a driveway on Trinity Street sometime over night.
(Bradford, ON) In August 2016, a Bradford woman reported an assault on her and her friend. A suspect was identified and contacted but refused to surrender to police. As a result a Warrant for his arrest was issued.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2017, the suspect was arrested on the warrant by Ontario Provincial Police officers in Alliston. He was turned over to South Simcoe Police Service officers and held for a bail hearing on 2 charges of Assault and Breach of Probation.
Theft From Autos Arrests
(Bradford, ON) On Thursday, August 3, 2017, around 4:30 a.m., a Bradford resident called 9-1-1 to report youths breaking into cars in his neighbourhood. Responding officers located and arrested the youths on Simcoe Road near Veseli Court, and recognized them as suspects in earlier incidents. Break-ins were also reported in the Rogers Trail and Summerlyn Trail subdivisions.
A 16 year old boy from Bradford will be in court in September charged with 2 counts of Theft Under $5000, 2 counts of Use Stolen Credit Card and Possession of Stolen Property.

Possession of Marijuana
(Innisfil, ON) Acting on citizen complaints, the Community Mobilization and Engagement Unit has been investigating several wooded areas in Alcona for illicit drug and alcohol use and littering. On Thursday, August 3, 2017, around 3:15 p.m., officers on foot patrol happened across a group of people and discovered they had been using marijuana. After an investigation, 3 youths entered into a diversion program in lieu of criminal charges and one adult was charged with Possession of Marijuana. He will appear in court in September.
