Stolen Car Recovered
(Innisfil, ON) On Tuesday, April 11, 2017, around 10:50 p.m., a South Simcoe Police constable investigated a speeding car in the Foodland parking lot in Stroud. He spoke to the driver who gave a verbal identification. As the officer returned to his cruiser to make an identity check, the driver and passenger both fled from the scene on foot. The officer gave chase but lost the duo when they split up. The area was contained and a Canine Unit from Barrie Police attended to search. The suspects were not apprehended.
South Simcoe Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the suspects.
Driver: Male, 15-18 years old, clean shaven with brown eyes and brown hair, wearing a dark hoodie.
Passenger: Male,15-18 years old, with short sandy coloured hair, a fair complexion, glasses and blue eyes, wearing a dark hoodie.

(Bradford, ON) On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, a resident of Aishford Road called South Simcoe Police to report his vehicle stolen. The car, a 2007 Volkswagen Toureg, was locked and the keys were not in it when it was taken from the driveway between 10:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
